this project deals with the design and implementation of smart surveillance monitoring system using raspberry pi. it increases the usage of CCTV technology to provide essential security for our homes and other areas. the proposed home security system captures information & stores video in hard disk. most places cannot maintain storage of CCTV footage for more than a month. It can also compare the video frame on the basis of image processing & if comparison is beyond the threshold value & than only frame will be stored. in this way memory required to store the footage can be reduced thus enabling cost cutting.
