Solution :

8 – bit SAR , V_{ref} = +5V

Resolution ⇒ k =  $$\frac{V_{ref}}{2^{n}}$$ = $$\frac{5}{2^{8}}$$ = 0.0195

Applied input voltage = 3.5V

1. After the first clock pulse : MSB ⇒ 0 ——- (1) , output of SAR ⇒ 10000000
2. After the second clock :7th bit from 0 ——(1) , output = 11000000 = 10000000
3. At the third clock pulse : SAR will toggle its 6 ^{th} bit 0 —–> 1
10000000 = 10100000
